Overview
Introducing the Phantom T2410 High-Speed Camera: The Perfect Tool for Material Research, Industrial Product Testing, and High-Speed Motion Analysis
If you’re in need of a high-speed camera that can deliver exceptional performance, the Phantom T2410 is the perfect tool for your needs. With its impressive 24 Gpx/s throughput, this camera is designed to handle even the most demanding imaging techniques, such as digital image correlation, and can deliver exceptional results when used with advanced optics.
One of the standout features of the Phantom T2410 is its custom BSI sensor, which enables fast exposures and a native ISO of 40,000D mono, making it possible to capture images even in environments with limited supplemental light. Additionally, the camera’s binned mode combines pixels 2X2, resulting in increased vertical resolution at the camera’s top frame rates.
The T2410 is also equipped with premium features that enable a variety of applications, such as Extreme Dynamic Range (EDR), which provides flash mitigation for ballistic studies by dynamically adjusting exposure in saturated areas of the image. The camera also includes programmable I/O to interface with DAQ systems and a variety of measurement sensors, which can be recorded and viewed as metadata in Cine files.
Perhaps one of the most impressive aspects of the Phantom T2410 is its remote, standalone operation. This can be achieved by using the on-camera controls, video monitor, and CineMag, allowing you to operate the camera from a distance and without the need for additional equipment.
Overall, the Phantom T2410 is an exceptional high-speed camera that delivers exceptional performance and versatility. So if you’re looking for a reliable tool for material research, industrial product testing, and high-speed motion analysis, the T2410 is the perfect solution.
BSI Technology
BSI technology can also be found in the Phantom T2410 high-speed camera, providing enhanced processing efficiency and improved image quality. With a throughput of 24 Gigapixels, the T2410 can record at up to 270,000 fps at a resolution of 1280 x 800. In standard mode, the camera can reach over 2 million fps at reduced resolutions and up to 1.16M fps in FAST mode.
Similar to the TMX, the BSI sensor in the T2410 places the light-sensitive pixels on the back side of the sensor and the electronic components on the front side, resulting in improved light sensitivity and low-light performance. This technology also enables the camera to have a more compact design, making it ideal for a variety of high-speed imaging applications.

One truth of high-speed imaging that never changes is that, ‘with increased speeds comes the need for increased light’. The unique back side illuminated sensor found in the Phantom T2410 deals with this issue by locating the metal parts of a traditional sensor that interfere with incident light to the photo-diode to the back of the sensor. Moving those key elements to the back of the sensor allows even more light to reach each pixel, improving light sensitivity and QE.
